c# remoting noobie
i just wrote a c# remoting application using ipc channels (not that it matters what channel i chose to use (latency)) most of the examples i saw on the net were prior to vs2k5 and used arcane (well arcane to some..) makefiles to manually run the compiler and all that jazz. using vs2k5 i created a solution, holds the 3 projects involved in the remoting (remotable object, server, client), and everything compiles nicely and works as expected.
i found some c# code that binds into win32 named pipes, which was my first idea for ipc since i come from a c++ win32 background (not that named pipes are necessarily the best, but easy to implement, along with sockets.. or if you want to get crazier IO completion ports are cool..)
the point : c# remoting is easy to do, and effective.
