astro dissection

so it started on thursday night, jeff came over with his ghetto screwdriver and cord to discharge my monitor. seems like it naturally discharged over the past month+.. no problem.

tested the fuses, those are fine.. i need to test B+ and HOT next, maybe this week. in the meanwhile im looking for 2 things.. a monitor tech to send this off to fix, and a replacement chassis in the event i can't fix it or get it fixed. oh yah, if you didn't catch on, the monitor isn't displaying a picture, kinda borked itself nov 18th.

tonight i decided i'd start taking it apart for refurb, cleaning, and repainting. since the vert cab was the one that died, i'm starting with this one. we'll see how it goes, then off to the horiz cab for the same treatment.
