pixel made a little shmup, nice to just waste a little time on a simple game once and awhile. maybe this will become my new minesweeper.
if you recall, pixel is a talented (but very modest) japanese doujin developer. he made cave story, which is quite simply _awesome_. he took the music stuff he made for cave story and released a player and composer for it! there's several forums that people post their creations using pxtone. he also provides a pxtone.dll that can be used to play pxtones in your programs.

Nyeh. This had some weird glitches on my HP laptop. The keystrokes to get the game to start didn't work, then when I forgot about the game and left it onscreen for a while it started a game on its own.
