current rpgs.. a little gaming.

i'm still taking a break from final fantasy xii, i might sit down and play some more devil summoner in the coming days however..



i started playing rogue galaxy, like most rpgs coming out these days i feel it's a bit too kiddy wannabe childish cartoon like. there's some cool elements in it, i've gotta play it a bit longer and see how i feel overall.

i went out to gamestop and saw they had an ar tonelico still in stock so i nabbed it and started playing it. the same commentary of kiddie vs adult / darker topics lies here. the game engine is pretty good, definately following the idea factory / gust / nippon ichi pattern of game design. i like the battle system, and the way you unlock new abilities/songs is somewhat story driven as well. if you attempt to unlock too much before you should you can get stuck at a certain level... sounds annoying but that's what save points are for eh?

seems the game was made for standard res (all the videos) however also made for hidef cause the game looks crisp 2d. kinda annoying with cutscene video, but past that it's mint.
