tveristy vs playon

continuing my experimentation with internet media content streaming/transcoding i was messing with tversity this weekend as well. i did get it working with hulu, but not with sling.com like it says on the website.

one thing that the hulu plugin on playon allows for browsing all movies, all tv episodes, etc. in tversity all i saw was setting up either single movies via dragging urls from browsers, or setting up a search query and then hooking into the rss feed from hulu.

i tried hooking into the search feed from sling.com, and it came up correctly via the rss feed however it could not render/transcode the content correctly.

i was hoping to see more from tversity, but it is a free product and does take payment for it given you are a good person (tm). i'd like to see a plugin architecture for it since as of now it's uses are limited. tversity also requires some modification in vista for "what you hear" or "stereo mix" on the control panel for sound, which results in me hearing the transcoding on the computer if i am using tversity. that's annoying. playon doesn't require this and also appears to be quicker at streaming the content out to my PS3.
