picking up the rx8
i don't get it when you bring your car into the dealer to fix, they call me and say nothing is wrong, yada yada. i tell them to please look it over, drive it, whatever so they see the issue, and still they insist nothing is wrong.
so i paid to replace the positive battery terminal (side of the cable) 50$ parts + 50$ labor (x_X).. this on top of just deflooding procedure for the engine (altho i deflooded it prior to getting it to mazda) was another 125$ labor... plus an oil change (since gas gets in the oil when an engine floods commonly)..
so 250$+ the car should be in good shape right?.. i crank the car, it comes on, and throws a check engine light. really mazda? really?..
i drive the car home in the rain (great.. i want to see how the car is doing and it rains all night) and plug it into the odb2 scanner, and i get this code:

P2004 - intake manifold runner control stuck open - bank 1
so it had a rough start, got it home and saw that, cleared the code. did ok for awhile, drove to tonberries house, and it threw the code again, cleared it, didn't throw it this morning, etc.
time to diagnose how to fix P2004...

also since the rx8 was sitting for months in the driveway, the rotors are rusty.. which means the braking power of the car has something left to be desired. i have new rotors (drilled/slotted), pads, and brake fluid on the way for about 400 less than mazda wanted. *bird*
