So I've decided on QT for the gui, Josh and Travis both said it was better, and the source for some projects I may use users it, so that's that.

I've also decided to use FOAF with the project to hold user data and relationships.  The relations in the FOAF will be used in the recommendation engine, helping to relate musical tastes of your friends to yourself, create forum topics, etc.

The FOAF data will be accessible by others so perhaps it can help expose FOAF and get some more adoption going.
